As a free-lance writer, he has published more than 120 articles both local and abroad, and currently publishes weekly installments of fiction with The Fall River Spirit. His work has been showcased in such national literary journals as Taproot Literary Review, American Poetry Review, Poetry Canada and Fresh! Literary Magazine,as well as various magazines to include Angels on Earth, Obadiah, Gold Dust, Titan, Writers Post Journal, Lotus, Balloon Life, G.F.O. (U.K.), Skyline Literary, The Writer’s Notes, Alive Now, Emirates Parent Plus, Liguorian, Dark Animus (Australia)and Spinnings Short Stories. Poetry Street Speakers is a talented group of high school poets from the Whaling City A.R.E. Program in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Led by author Steven Manchester and educator Lynn Markey, they meet every Tuesday to share their diverse life experiences through prose and verse.
